Role and Responsibilities

As the Executive Director, you will be responsible for the overall management, strategic planning, and day-to-day operations of Mission Inn Foundation. Your primary objective will be to ensure the successful execution of our mission and organizational goals. Some key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing strategic plans and initiatives to advance the organization's mission
  • Overseeing the budget and financial management
  • Collaborating with the Board of Directors and other stakeholders to establish policies and goals
  • Leading and managing a diverse team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners
  • Planning and coordinating various educational programs, events, and exhibitions
  • Supervising the maintenance and preservation of historic sites and collections

Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for the position of Executive Director, applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant leadership role
  • A strong background in nonprofit management and fundraising
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience in strategic planning and organizational development
  • Knowledge and passion for local history and heritage preservation
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field (advanced degree preferred)
